JMO, rpm cam would not work well for you. 1500-6500rpm range, not as much HP/TQ in low and midrange as other similar cams, comes on like gangbusters in high-end. needs high-perf heads,gears, headers, converter, not recommended for heavy vehicles.
it would be the worst engine mistake you could make.
my friend has a '91 half-ton, with ZZ4 short-block, 8.9cr, edelbrock rpm heads/cam/intake/600carb, gears, headers, exhaust. from the way this heavy truck moves, i knows he's very disappointed.
with stock heads, low compression ratio,edelbrock PERFORMER intake, 600 carb or OEM QuadraJet, you'd probably like a "4 by 4" cam, 600-4600rpm range, 206-214*D(250-258*D)/.432-.453Lift/111*LSA.
but i would not recommend the performer cam, either. choose any other manufacturer, except that one.
