hi 49ratty, are you sure your block is 3695403 and not 3695408?
I have a Canadian built engine from BC with a very similar block casting to what you described. block: 3695408 head: 3695451 serial: 429840 this engine is a 1951 production year, 216 short side cover babbitt engine, it is painted green.
