I'm new to this and still a dummy but it seems all the ones making dyno runs on youtube are using the MSD LS6 ignition controller. A search of "timing control on carbed LS3" will give details that you will grasp quicker than me. The 4 cam Mercury Marauder (Ford) engine I have in my 34 Chevy coupe has an MSD control unit and it has been OK but not a versatile as I'd like. Before I lay much blame on the MSD unit I could probably look in a mirror and find the real culprit who chose to go with 4 Webers. When I can start doing stuff in the shop again the Webers will be gone and I'm going to try the Factory Five electronic stack injectors they offer on the Coyote engine. Surely they must be better than the Webers. I have dialed in a Weber on the dyno but it took more hours than my legs can take anymore.
