This Suburban is olive drab under the existing paint, and since it was found in Dothan, Alabama, it probably was used at Fort Rucker. It was built in Baltimore, and has a government contract number on the VIN plate. It only has 64,704 miles on it.
Here is a short video made the day after it first ran. At the time, I thought it was sitting for about 20 years, but I later determined that it was more like 30. There were a few coins found inside that dated before 1983, and there was a Coca-Cola bottle cap from the early to mid 1980's. The oil filter also appeared to be from the same time period. The bumper sticker on the front bumper is from WOOF, a radio station in Dothan, Alabama.
