do i need to figure a way to make it work like jerry suggested or can i live without it?
Your builder installed the bolt for a reason. I had a pressed on balancer come off at high rpm once, it was not pretty. Can you picture a balancer shaped hole in the side of an early corvette? Use Jerry's suggestion.
