Put in a Runtz reducer and there will be no problem using 12v with a 6v gauge 2. Some (a few) people have posted that the run 12v with no problems with a 6v gauge. I am not a gambler - I used a Runtz reducer. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
