I've never been keen on the idea of having the filler in the bed of a truck. I too use my trucks and can only imagine either needing gas and not being able to access the filler or having debris falling or blowing in while gassing up.
Although I have never been bothered by having the tank in the cab, I am intrigued with your idea. If you follow through with this I hope you keep us informed with your progress.
