www.classictruckshop.com They have a reasonably good article concerning just this swap. They used a commercially available kit to install later model ('73-'89) GM full size 1/2 ton steering box on their AD 1/2 ton. Just check the "tech articles" section on the left side of the screen. I believe this kit is available from most of the major parts vendors, prices range from $95-$125 U.S. Hopefully you will find some more of the information there that you are looking for.
