It is a flared end. It could be cross threaded, the angle that I have to work with is just off a hair, which makes it pretty difficult to get it started. I'm just surprised that it is missing a gasket. If you look close it has a metal one that is visible, I'm not sure if there needs to be an additional gasket. I guess I'll replace the line with a part I found on LMC truck and see if it fixes it.
