The factory bed-side spare-tire mount was first offered in 1953 (RPO 341 on 3104, 3604, & 3804).
It was mounted on the driver’s side, and there was an indent in the fender (3104 only for indent?).
My guess is that it could be easily mounted on either side of a 3604 or 3804?
Maybe someone who has done this will comment/confirm and/or describe how they did this?
