Yep, that was an old-school trick from back when most antifreeze contained alcohol, not Ethylene Glycol. The upside was that the water glass got the truck home without a big towing bill. That was a fun trip, and the 1500 miles on the motorcycle through 4 states on the way home put the icing on the cake!
