If buying cheap tubing and a bender was all there was to it, then there would be no question about the economics of making your own brake lines. But, brake lines are double flared. The cost of a flare tool that is correct for brake lines and will allow you to get a good double flare will just about put the economics of pre bent lines over the top. I wanted to go with stainless and the cost of the seamless stainless tubing plus a tool that would handle it was more than having them replicated by inline tube.
