I said "close to the flywheel", I believe. One of those holes is not an oil port- - - -it's a coolant drain. It's lower and further back than the oil port, which goes into a raised ridge that runs the full length of the block. The coolant drain has a 1/4" pipe thread, while the oil pressure port is 1/8" NPT. If your oil filter gets full of coolant, which then gets dumped into the crankcase, you picked wrong! Applying just a smidgen of common sense is usually a good thing in these situations!
