Would like to know if the hole in my connection plate where the clutch rod fits into is worn out or if there should be this much play. If I have too much play I can fill the hole with weld metal and machine it to the correct size. How much should the hole be oversized than the connecting rod and is the rod only held locked in place by a cotter pin. Please use the attached photographs.

If anyone has a photograph of this as it is supposed to be connected, I would like for you to post it in your reply.
