any 5 lug rear will have a different mount setup/position that'll have adapted to yer truck, especially cuz of the pinion angle - other than the 5 stud thing [gonna change the fronts too?], no reason the stock rear won't handle any engine you put in, the only consideration is if you want better gearing for whatever yer gonna do - might find an OD trans for highway speeds
