Right on the money. Injection nozzle ports for the later 292 Chevy AIR system. Fine to use as a head, even for high performance. In Leo Santucci’s 6 cylinder performance book there is a photo of a 292 lump port head that is described as having epoxy lumps for a turbo application. If you look closely, you will see that head has the ports, but blocked off like yours. I own that head and it ran on a couple of race Cars over the years so don’t hesitate to use it with the ports all blocked off.
