1967 C50 dump truck's frame/chassis has rust & pitting in spots. Complete chassis strip down is out of the question.
Has anyone used POR-15 silver (in the red can) on their chassis & then topped it w/ POR-15 chassis black coat (in the yellow can)? I've read that the POR-15 silver color contains "metal fillers" which the black doesn't. Also considering spraying zerorust in the areas where POR-15 can't be squeezed in (after doing the POR-15 coat).
Has anyone done this B4?
Reaaly I'd like to just paint the entire frame/chassis w/ zerorust, but it's the pitted areas that raise concern. Maybe just do the pitted areas w/ POR-15, then paint the rest w/ zero rust? How nice it looks when done isn't really much concern here. Stopping further rusting is the main objective. Thanx.
