The drive gear on your 216 distributor is most likely steel
The drive gear on the 235 distributor is most likely cast iron.
It is not advisable to run a steel drive gear on a cast iron cam.
To be safe
Just take the drive gear off your 235 distributor and put it on your 216 distributor and your good to go
