I really want to run the 12 gauge all the way from the relays to the headlights.
The tabs on my headlights (GE H5006) are 5/16 (7.93mm) wide. I looked at and called every place around town today to find quick connects to fit the bulbs, with no success.
Plenty of .250" wide terminals and smaller size. No place had the .25" that were for 12 gauge, but found they can be ordered from Advance Auto.
I am looking at taking Dremel tool and grinding down (gently! Not wild about grinding down the spades!) each male spade or buying some over priced .3125 wide terminals from Newark or Del City..... These would be non-insulated terminals. The good part is that these will fit the 12 gauge wire and I can get heat shrink that will fit over the terminals and the wire. I am open for suggestions to find the terminals with the .3125 width.
