Coolwhip, Attached is a picture I took of a 37 truck rear bumper. I don't know if it will help you. My truck is at a shop getting painted so I can't go out and snap more photos.
The grill is attached with bolts along the sides that can only be accessed when the grill shell is removed from the truck. That means removing the radiator along with the shell and detaching the shell from the fenders.
