Two times I have purchased trucks ('57 6100 Chevy and '65 Chevy C60) with 22.5's and they BOTH came from surplus Government sales. One was a City truck and the other was from the State of Kansas . In the case of the City truck, they also gave me the old split rims and tires in the back of the C60. I bought the '65 C60 just for the wheels and tires (to put on my '63 GMC 4000) stuck the old wheels and tires back on it and sold it. My point is that it seems that the City, County and State Governments were early on to replace the split rims with 22.5's. So scour your city back lots for old trucks that they don't use and might sell. ALSO some school busses use 9.00x22.5 tires and usually have to replace them early long before they are worn out. JP
