Gee whiz, I didn't take the other thread as a scolding at all but simply advising you about how things operate here. Take a deep breath and calm down a tad. Constructive criticism is not a bad thing. The reason "hijacking" a thread is frowned on is because we (the moderators) go to great lengths to try to keep the forums organized and searchable. It's not difficult to see how things would get really out of whack if one thread contains information about fuel pumps, heater fuses and etch primer. Someone searching for the best primer to use on bare metal while searching the Paint & Body forum would miss the info because it's in a thread in the Engine Shop. Someone searching for heater fan fuses in the Electrical Bay would miss the info for the same reason.
The part about your data plate and title wasn't calling you a crook. It was simply advising that Stovebolt.com considers (rightly so) putting a data plate and/or title on a vehicle it didn't come on to be fraud and isn't condoned. There are sites that do condone the practice and even promote it. Someday those sites will likely regret their decision because Hemmings, Old Cars Weekly and other magazines have a lot of ads for lawyers who make a lot of money off of title fraud. We won't allow Stovebolt.com to be one of their targets.
There are a lot of knowledgeable folks here who can help with a wide range of topics but the site users need to help us help them. The rules are there for a reason but making a user's life difficult is not one of them.
