Based on everything I've experienced since the mid-1950's, you'll have a very nice looking engine compartment that will get a lot of awed comments from uninformed people who think all that eye candy actually accomplishes something. It will run almost as well as it did before you started tinkering with it. Put an Elgin E-293-S camshaft in it with a new set of solid lifters and do a good engine overhaul in the process. Then sell the dual carb setup and the headers to somebody who thinks they'll actually do some good, and you'll probably come close to breaking even on the cost. You'll also have a better running truck that is much more reliable.
