Same 57 with BW OD trans _________ 17-18mpg or about 325 miles per tank
Set up now which is apples and oranges so not much related to original set up but an interesting note on how far engine tech has advanced.
Same 57 with 435hp LS3 and 4L80E trans ___________ 25mpg or about 450 miles per tank.
Rear gears, gas tank, and tires stayed the same.
It will take a L-o-n-g time for the increase in mileage to pay for the swap.
