Don't forget this tid bit. The advantage in 1A is that it has the Vin plate matching your title. The other options involve some possible hassle/nightmare/DMV fights. You never know how all that will go. "Rebuilt" title, bonded title, ETC! Switching VIN plates without DMV supervision is illegal and won't match the frame stamp anyway.
