I can offer a couple of suggestions based upon real life experiences. First install a fan shroud. The tips of the fan should be about 1/2 inch inside the shroud. There are shrouds to be had from the aftermarket folks (Google) or go to your local salvage yards with a tape measure and some basic hand tools. If you do install electric fans it’s best to get the ones that are mounted in their own shroud. When filling the radiator fill it to 1/2 inch above the cooling fins leaving plenty of room for expansion. Radiator cap pressure 12-14 pounds should work. Others may have a different take on it.🛠
