The truck was built in Los Angeles and has spen at least the last 50 years in the Seattle area. Most likely a local dealer added it. Unlike the heater in my ‘48 the fan is located entirely in the unit with no penetration through the firewall.
I will be installing a heat/ac unit so this unit will be surplus shortly.
