Hi,
I'm getting my old truck running again and have read about (on this excellent forum) a clip that secures the gas pedal linkage to the carburetor independent of the hand throttle linkage. This seems like an excellent idea tto eliminate linkage slop and keep the gas pedal operational if the hand cable broke. Can anyone identify that clip or know where to find one. Here's my present configuration. The linkage connection is kind of sloppy. I think this is the way it was when I bought the truck, but can't remember that far back.
Throttle linkage with just hand throttle calbe through "cotter pin" holeAlso, my truck has set for a few years and the hand throttle and clutch buttons/linkage feel really stiff. Any suggestions on lubrication?
