I also have a 62 C-10 and the front cross member from a 73 / 80ish is almost a bolt in conversion. That will give you
power steering and disc brakes.
One hole to relocate on each side for cross member the other two fit. also need to remount the top attachment point for the shocks.
You loose the torsion bars for coil springs but that allows you more options.
The wheels will be 5 studs now, do you change the front hubs back to six or change the rear to five.
The booster and master cyl. from the donor truck can also be used.
