Here's some more info on the truck. The first owner was an oil company in Kansas. When the owner died, they put "his" truck up on blocks one of their buildings. Merl (2nd owner) kept bugging them to sell it and they finally did in 67. It had 35K miles and he had the engine overhauled and painted it in his driveway (67 ford green).
Merl bought a junkyard 54 chevy truck and took off all the parts he thought he would ever need and stored them in boxes. He gave me this stash when I bought the truck. He also took the spare tire holder off the old truck and put it on his/my truck after banging out the fender to hold a spare. He was a lineman and got called out for power outages in stormy Kansas weather. He mounted 2 mud & snow tires on his double spares and was always ready for snow or mud. He also hunted around junkyards and such to locate six 15" tubless wheels (got rid of the 16" tubes) that would fit the baby moon chevy hubcaps,
