Today while cleaning out the external oil filter canister on my 54 235, I could not see how the oil returns to the block. The drain tube screws into a pipe that goes to the top where the cap screw is. The only way that I can see for the oil to get out of the canister is through a little hole near the top of the tube. Is that it or am I missing something?
