All the JD paint Ive seen and used is synetic enamel(Ive restored several JD tractors), which a waste of time and money IMO.
You are far better off with a urethane product. You use a single stage urethane and add flattner to make it any gloss you like. A SS product requires no clear and far better then any enamel based product.
Also many paint companies offer a flat clearcoat, PPG has 2065. You can spray any color of base then topcoat it with a flat clear. You get all the benefits of a clearcoat but have a dull flat finish. You can also add flattner to the regular gloss clears as well. | | |
