WE b OLD 'Bolter W Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 4,095 marion, in. usa	I had the same problem of backfiring after I adjusted to eliminate pinging. BUT my gas mileage is still way off. The road mileage average drop from 20mpg to 15 and the in town dropped from 15 to 10mpg. They think it is the rear carb. Hope to figure out by Sept, KC trip. Frustrating.
