talk about picky! if every truck you see has the same problem, what makes it a "problem" rather than a design feature? how do you know your cab is mounted 'plumb'?
I think what yer seeing is an illusion, due to the difference in the clearance of the top of the fender from the rail at front and back ... same as the appearance in that particular pic that the box step is bent down at the front outside corner because of the shadow ... I hold a straight edge up to the feature line on that pic and it is plumb and parallel .... and
here\'s a side shot of a friends truck, straight edge works on it too
in fact, if I hold a long straight piece of 1x2 up against the fender of my [rough] stepside, it's nearly perfect parallel with the cab crease
the top of the box actually continues the line of the front fender tops and the bulge/roll on the door above the feature line .... and the impression of 'speed' is imparted via the slope of the fender openings and of the doors ..... an advertised part of the original design decision
