52Carl - I had to go back and check my reading material and yep, it was "blue gray" for 1950, not blue like on the car engines which is what this truck has . If it was supposed to be period correct restoration there are probably many incorrect items such as the coil being off 180, wrong plug wires and who knows what else. Not sure what the correct definition of restoration is but I agree with Mike, for that price it should'a been near "perfect" to original. Mine isn't but if I had $85K to put towards it I'm thinking it would be, along with two or three more sitting beside it.
