If it were me, I would order and wait for the Best Gasket main seal to arrive before I took the oil pan off. Properly sealing an oil pan is difficult enough to do once, let alone twice. If you plan on doing the rear main seal at some other time in the future, you will need to take the oil pan off again, clean the sealant off, and reseal it.
