| | | | Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 70 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2006 Posts: 70 | The front end of '58 and '59 trucks had an Ivory border painted on the grill support and front fenders that went around the border of the grill. It appears many or most restorations ignore this ring altogether and just paint the whole front end body color. I'm going to paint that Ivory border around the grill. My question is what color was inside that Ivory border from the factory. I've seen restorations that painted the area behind the grill Ivory, black and body color. I've looked at a lot of photos and nothing seems definitive to me. | | |
