Need some education- an oldtimer is telling me to use on yellow pine not oak on the bed as oak will split over time, is it true that if oak is kiln dried and properly sealed treated that this is only a myth, other than pine being cheaper is there any one out there that has had oak splinter or crack over time, thanks for the input
