Are you saying that you took the running board "brackets" off the frame? And now that you have put them back on, the front bracket holes do not align with the running board bolts?
If you took the brackets off the frame, are you sure you put the front bracket back on the front of the frame.
I've got a feeling that GM mounted the brackets to the running boards first and then the brackets to the frame. And the holes are spaced different between the two brackets. I don't know for sure, but I have a 46 in the shop and I will look at them tomorrow.
