Ive searched the timing posts and read quite a few... seems that setting timing by vacuum, or advance timing until you hear ping when loaded are the two most common methods... I haven't found any posts that specify a certain timing setting (except repeating the factory setting of 2-4 BTDC) my question is when the engine has been timed using these methods what is the actual advance (in degrees BTDC) as seen on a timing light? I have timed mine using the vacuum method and I have approx. 14 degrees BTDC as indicated on my timing light.
This seems high to me.... what timing are you guys getting/running?
