You got lucky. POR cures with moisture. Any mosture gets in the can and it partially cures. Maybe you were lucky. They used to talk openly about the shelf life, maybe now they don't or they have improved the product. I used some about 6 years ago but haven't purchased any since. I've got a can sitting in my garage that has a hardened layer on top that cured without me ever opening it. It sat in a drawer for about 3 years.
