Achipmunk mentioned using a kit on his gas tank. If it was inside his gas tank I would tell him to worry. For you guys that also have your A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license, you know that sort of thing is banned in aircraft. Years ago it was a thing to do with aircraft tanks in general aviation. Worked for awhile then the stuff started to flake and clog fuel lines and filters. Real bad things happened and the FAA said no more. Just something to think about.
