The 465 has some fins or webs cast on the case, the 420 is pretty smooth.

PTO should fit any of same model transmission it is removed from.

For interchange between models, if any, check PTO manufacturers literature.
PTO openings are pretty standard, same bolt patterns. But often need a different driven gear in the PTO for different transmissions, even though the PTO case may seem to bolt up.

Also be aware there are many different kinds of PTO’s for different uses.
