Just joined the forum and just purchased a 1950 4100 Fire Truck. I have no idea why I felt compelled to buy it, other than it is from my grand parents, and my dad's hometown, and I didn't want that piece of history slip away. The town only has a population of like 36, but the family has grown from 2 people to over a hundred now and some still live near there. I have never seen a fire truck like this one that's not huge even though this one isn't exactly little, and I still need to get it shipped 500 miles home. I don't know where I'm going to keep it yet, or work on it. It was last used by the town 10 years ago and unfortunately got parked outside and currently not running. Still has hoses, light, siren, etc. with 2370 miles on it. Just hope I can bring it back to life without too much expense. Probably paid too much at $3500 plus $700 shipping, but that wouldn't be the first time I wasted money on a vehicle. I have only seen pictures of it, so I know it will have issues I don't even know about yet.
