Find a fan for a 216/early 235. The hub of the water pump is a different diameter. If you choose to enlarge the hole in the present fan, be sure it stays centered. Even a little runout will cause some annoying and possibly dangerous vibrations. A shaky fan can develop fatigue cracks and lose blades.
