smittyschevy, back in the production days it
seemed as though uniform fits were not priority..
I took lots of time in getting the "gaps" uniform. On the right door, for example, the rear
door edge was almost over-lapping the cab..the door
opening measured correctly...So to obtain a proper fit, the door edge was reduced considerably with a
grinder, then with a 2 solid copper bars sandwiched
the door edge, then mig welded a bead on the door
edge and worked it down to the gap I desired...It was alot of work, but I got the results I was looking for...Good luck...Bill B
