Is there an overwhelming reason to go IFS? Straight axles worked very well for a lot of years and most of the IFS setups are flimsy at best and they haven't had a lot of handling geometry research done. They are good for holding up the front end of a trailer queen that gets hauled around to car shows, I guess.
