Jon, I remember an incident in Dad's shop in the mid-1950's where a late-1940's Plymouth had a piece of throttle linkage fall off, and went almost wide open in one of the service bays. I believe part of the accelerator pump system was responsible for that partial throttle opening when it was unopposed by the return spring, right?
