Better frame and suspension on the '63. I drove one of those for 10 years Straight. 6 or V8?
Edit: ignore the power plant question. Just noticed in your original post you said a straight 6.
Also, my '63 C10 was a longbed, fleetside with the 283 V8 and a Power Glide. Both were replaced over time. Last configuration was 400 SBC with a TH400. I drove that thing all over the Western United States
