I am from that era but I shure don't remember them. I do remember the model airplanes that came in cereal boxes. You put all the sticks together with airplane glue. It had a large rubber band that went down the middle of the fuselodge . You spun the prop with your finger till your finger get sore. You turned it loose & it went about 20 feet & crashed.
